I grew up in the Nass Valley north of Terrace.  In 1981 I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.  About a year after my conversion I began leading worship and helping in the leadership of our small group of new believers in the Nass. In 1988 we moved to Terrace and joined the work of the newly planted Thornhill Community Church. In 1993 I left my daytime job of welding to become the Associate Pastor of TCC. I served in the areas of youth and young adult ministries, coming alongside those who are hurting or struggling in a counselling settings, leading home fellowship groups and some preaching.  In 2007 I became the Senior Pastor. This involves directing the church body (together with the elders), studying and preaching the Word, meeting with a group of dedicated men to prepare Bible Studies for Adult Sunday Morning Classes, ministering to the hurting, and leading in worship.

I have taken numerous discipleship courses, SEAN a compendium of pastoral theology, Navigators 2-7 and others under Dr. Bill Spletzer of Manna Missions and most recently I received my Bachelor of Bible Studies degree from Okanogan Bible College under the direction of Dr. Lawrence Wilkes.

I have been married to my wife, Kim for over 30 years. We have four lovely daughters, three are married. I enjoy being “Papa” to our seven sweet grand-daughters.

My desire is that we who are in the church, would take the gospel to the lost so that they might repent and be won to Christ. Also that the body of Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, might build one another up in the love of God and grow together in unity and in maturity.
